Local transgender advocacy group TransPonder plans a civil rights protest this Saturday in downtown Eugene. The event is designed to acknowledge injustices faced by LGBTQ and BIPOC communities.

People who identify as transgender are more at risk of contracting HIV-AIDS than any other demographic group. Transgender men and women say the biggest reason is a lack of specific information for their sexual behaviors.
