Emily grew up in Sacramento, California and holds a bachelor's degree in urban studies and planning from San Francisco State University. In 2022, they moved to the Eugene area to pursue graduate degrees from the University of Oregon. They graduated with a Master of Nonprofit Management and a Master of Public Administration in 2024, and now work in alumni engagement at the University of Oregon Lundquist College of Business. Emily is driven by building relationships to improve the lives of their community through advocacy and action. Their professional background includes working in the public and nonprofit sectors across a variety of service areas to support volunteerism and equitable community development. Outside of work and serving the community, Emily enjoys reading, coloring, and hanging out with their partner, friends, and cats.
