RISE Co-Director
Position Type: Full-Time, Exempt
Reports to: RISE Leadership Committee & TransPonder’s Executive Director
Location: Eugene, Oregon (hybrid work options available)
Wage: $85,000 annually, with 5% additional pay for Spanish language proficiency.

About TransPonder
TransPonder is a transgender-founded and led nonprofit organization based in Eugene, Oregon,
dedicated to supporting the transgender and gender-diverse community. With a mission to foster
healthy communities, we provide resources, advocacy, and education to enable individuals to thrive
holistically in a world not designed with them in mind.
TransPonder is the fiscal sponsor of RISE and is responsible for ensuring appropriate use of funds and
grant deliverables, as well as other administrative duties.
Position Summary
RISE of the Umpqua and Willamette Valleys is seeking a full-time Co-Director with community
relationships or lived experience in Lane County, and strategic management, communications, and
justice and care oriented interpersonal skills to collaboratively co-lead the organization. RISE is a
grassroots coalition building on community strengths to improve health for communities of color and
additional communities of people living at the intersection of race/ethnicity and additional priority
populations affected by barriers, bias, and discrimination.
The position is responsible for the administration, financial operations, strategic planning, and
implementation of RISE programs. This includes decisions about current programs and development of
new programs, establishing policies and guidelines, upholding budgetary accountability and
management of capital assets, and the development of and accountability around workplans, goals,
and metrics to make progress in health outcomes for priority populations of the Umpqua and Willamette
Valley region.
This position reports directly to the RISE Leadership Committee & Executive Director of TransPonder.
Qualifications:
Required Skills & Experience
● A combination of education, training, experience and collaborating with community coalitions to
achieve mutual goals equivalent to 6 years may be substituted if the experience is of
sufficient/equivalent quality that typically supports the knowledge and skill requirements listed
for this position or
Two (2) years of work experience developing and implementing equity and inclusion strategies
across a range of organizational activities.
● Demonstration of cultural responsiveness, trauma informed practice, and lived experience
related to service region and priority population.
Essential Skills & Experience
● Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in public health, public policy,
nonprofit management, sociology, social justice, diversity and inclusion, equity, community
health, health education, public health, political science, program evaluation, public
administration or related field
● Judgment and Decision Making - Considering the relative costs and benefits of potential actions
to choose the most appropriate one.
● Systems Analysis - Determining how a system should work and how changes in conditions,
operations, and the environment will affect outcomes.
● Systems Evaluation - Identifying measures or indicators of system performance and the actions
needed to improve or correct performance, relative to the goals of the system.
● Complex Problem Solving - Identifying complex problems and reviewing related information to
develop and evaluate options and implement solutions.

● Has over 3 years of experience in nonprofit or operations management.
