THEY/THEM
Nevada is a queer non-binary single parent and therapist who’s lived in Eugene, OR since 2012. They have spent a whole lot of time thinking about, studying and experimenting in community and how we can connect and care for one another within a context of disconnection. Nevada has toggled between working directly with people and families impacted by trauma, and focusing on broad systems through the lense of Community Health, Trauma Informed Care, Resource Development, and Equity Implementation across those systems. They have a BA in Community, Environment, and Planning from UW, and returned to school for a Masters in Couples and Family Therapy from UO. Nevada is now working as a therapist with LGBTQIA2S+, poly, & trauma impacted individuals, couples, dyads, and groups. Nevada spends a lot of time with their kid, their dog, travelling, reading young adult fiction, and has aspirations to garden and grow their own food!
